Hey guys!
Today I'm going to be talking about trunk shows in the fashion industry. Trunk shows are when a designer puts out his or her designs for a select group of people. They usually send out invitations to their top customers and influencers. An example of a trunk show is this one for Patricia Bonaldi:
It looks like it was held in nice club that had marble columns and chandeliers. Trunk shows aren't always held in places like this. They can be held in warehouses or even restaurants sometimes. Personally, I think that they should be held in nicer event spaces because it gives the designer a better image.
Saks hosts trunk shows quite often. They are known to carry high end designers. Also,  they have a lot of top customers who spend a lot of money on clothes, shoes and accessories,  so it makes sense that they host these sort of events. Here is an example of one they had for Dice Kayek:
